Ben Schwartz has revealed that he likes his character on Undercovers.
In a video on the official website, Schwartz explained that he likes the way his character Bill, a CIA field agent, uses gadgets but also works on the front line."I think the cool thing about this character is that he has those tech aspects," he said. "I get these nifty things - nifty, I sound like my dad - all these gadgets and stuff like that, that I get to use.
"But at the same time, when it's time to work, I'm a competent CIA agent. What's cool about this character and unique is I know how to fire a gun. I'm getting trained in martial arts to know how to disarm people and get defence when I need to and things like that."
Schwartz also praised co-creators J.J. Abrams and Josh Reims, saying: "They work so hard and they're so good and they give us amazing lines... They write it so well and specific to us and it makes it such a joy." Labels: Ben Schwartz, NBC, Season 1, Undercovers
Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Boris Kodjoe have claimed that their Undercovers characters have a strong relationship. The show focuses on Samantha and Steven Bloom, a married couple who retired as spies five years ago but are forced to return to the job to rescue an old friend.
Speaking in a video on the official site, Mbatha-Raw explained that Samantha is deeply in love with her husband. "If he wasn't listening, she'd probably say that he's kind of her hero," she said. "I mean, he's saved her on many occasions and he is the love of her life... I think that's in her heart of hearts. I don't know that she would always say that."
Meanwhile, Kodjoe said: "I think Steven would definitely say [Samantha] is the love of his life. She's his soulmate. I mean, she was the reason, supposedly, that he left the secret service - to live a regular life... But at the same time, I think he would describe her as someone he has tremendous amounts of fun with. They laugh a lot."
However, Kodjoe hinted that the relationship may face problems in the future, saying: "He loves her. He loves her more than life. And that's why it's going to be quite a challenge when they get back to the service."

"Undercovers" (NBC) -- Speaking of "Lost," can you go wrong with a show from J.J. Abrams, that series co-creator?
Audiences will find out this season with his new show "Undercovers" featuring the very attractive Boris Kodjoe. Lots of buzz that the series is much like an African-American version of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" featuring Kodjoe and the lovely Gugu Mbatha-Raw as a married couple reactivated by the CIA to get back into the spying game. We anticipate plenty of action and drama. And did we mention that Kodjoe is hot? Labels: CNN, NBC, Top Shows, Undercovers

IGN.com reviews "Undercovers";
Yeah, it's got a bit of Mr. and Mrs. Smith and a smattering of J.J. Abrams' beloved spy-series Alias, but NBC's Undercovers, Abrams' new spy-couple adventure show, is out to prove that it can stand on its own. This is one of the shows that, despite Abrams' name being attached, will have to prove itself to us. We've seen the pilot and we're just not sure, after one episode, if we're ready and willing to invite Steven and Samantha Bloom, no matter how sexy they are, into our homes each week. But there's always room for growth and we're hoping that the writers will be able to make us care about a couple that has, initially, come off a bit bland.
